B12 Injections
Vitamin B12 is an essential nutrient required for healthy nerve function, red blood cell production, and DNA synthesis.
Vitamin B12 deficiency can occur for a range of reasons, including reduced dietary intake, impaired absorption, gastrointestinal conditions, and autoimmune causes. B12 deficiency can lead to symptoms such as fatigue, weakness, shortness of breath, cognitive changes, peripheral neuropathy (pins and needles), and anaemia.
For people with confirmed deficiency, Vitamin B12 injections are an effective treatment, bypassing the digestive system and restoring levels more reliably than oral supplementation in many cases.
We can provide intramuscular Vitamin B12 injections:
- Following a prescription or referral from your usual health provider (e.g. GP, specialist, or midwife), or
- Following assessment by our clinical team, if you are concerned about possible Vitamin B12 deficiency. This includes an initial consultation and referral for a blood test.
Treatment plans are tailored to the underlying cause and clinical need, and may involve a loading phase followed by maintenance dosing, in line with standard clinical practice.
B12 injections are quick to administer and can be provided in your home, office or another convenient location, reducing the need for clinic visits.
